چکیده

This project presents a method of improving the speed profile, torque and flux using stator estimation method. This discusses the problems associated with the error in stator Resistance and proposes an analytical approach to investigate its effect on the actual and estimated variables of a induction motor. Based on how this error affects the estimated angle between the stator flux and current vectors, a method to track stator resistance variations is proposed. The speed control of the induction motor is done by using the conventional proportional integral controller and the proposed fuzzy logic based controller. The proposed fuzzy logic controller has a nature of proportional integral to determine the torque reference for the motor. The dynamic response has been clearly tested for both conventional and the proposed fuzzy logic based speed controllers.

IS-MRAS With On-Line Adaptation Parameters Based on Type-2 Fuzzy LOGIC for Sensorless Control of IM

This paper suggests novel sensorless speed estimation for an induction motor (IM) based on a stator current model reference adaptive system (IS-MRAS) scheme. The IS-MRAS scheme uses the error between the reference and estimated stator current vectors and the rotor speed. Observing rotor flux and the speed estimating using the conventional MRAS technique is confronted with certain problems relat...

IM Drive using Fuzzy Logic Based DTC Technique

This paper presents a direct flux and torque control (DTC) of three phase induction motor drive (IMD) using PI and fuzzy logic controllers (FLC) for speed regulator (SR) and low torque ripples. This control method is based on DTC operating principles. The DTC is one of the most excellent direct control strategies of stator flux and torque ripples of IMD. The key issue of the DTC is the strategy...

Fuzzy Direct Torque-controlled Induction Motor Drives for Traction with Neural Compensation of Stator Resistance

In this chapter, a new method for stator resistance compensation in direct torque control (DTC) drives, based on neural networks, is presented. The estimation of electromagnetic torque and stator flux linkages using the measured stator voltages and currents is crucial to the success of DTC drives. The estimation is dependent only on one machine parame‐ ter, which is the stator resistance. Chang...
